Ryan has over 15 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and consulting. His experience includes working on financing transactions, SEC reporting, research of complex accounting issues, initial public offerings, audit preparation/facilitation, external auditing and internal controls documentation and testing.
Ryan is experienced in all of the firm’s service offerings. As a Director, he is responsible for providing quality assurance for the firm’s services. He has planned, executed, budgeted and completed audits for various industries, including manufacturing and distribution, high-tech and financial services of companies ranging up to $600 million in revenue. He also has extensive SEC reporting experience (S-1, 10K, 10Q, 8K). Ryan has prepared technical accounting memos related to SEC reporting and researching and analyzing US GAAP for a variety of issues including complex debt and equity transactions as well as business combinations. Ryan is also experienced in IPO readiness and public security offerings and assisted with facilitation of the external auditor procedures with regards to an SEC filing, drafting of the document and issue identification/resolution.
Ryan excels at managing client expectations and concerns during the project. He works proactively with client management to gather information and make recommendations for business improvements.
Prior to joining ARC Consulting, Ryan was an Audit Senior Manager in public accounting at Grant Thornton LLP. He worked there for almost 10 years, quickly advancing from associate to senior manager due to his hard work ethic, strong technical skills and drive. Ryan gained a deep understanding of technical accounting issues including revenue recognition, complex debt and equity transactions, and stock-based compensation while working on several SEC registrants and also spent almost two years in Grant Thornton’s national professional standards group.
